More Information: Please click here for additional details.

The Jean Monnet Chair in EU External Relations is hosting a young scholars one-day research conference on “Regionalism in Eurasia”. The conference will be hosted as an online event.

Background: The region represents a unique geopolitical grouping of states whose historical legacies and institutional shapes inform the changes and challenges to cooperation. Eurasia provides a unique case study of overlapping regionalisms pursued by three core actors: the European Union, the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.

The research conference will be an interdisciplinary forum where junior scholars (graduate students and young scholars) from different fields come together and share their scholarship. This conference is held in an online format with presentations via Zoom. Speakers will present their research, receive comments from experts and questions and feedback from the audience. The conference will be free for both presenters and participants.

Please note registration is required for attendance. Attendees will register at the Jean Monnet Chair website.

Jean Monnet Chair activities are co-funded by the European Union and by Carleton University. This research conference is co-sponsored by the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies and by the Centre for European Studies.
