About this Event
Host Organization: Office of the Dean of Science - Department of Chemistry
The Working Group for Inclusion, Equity and Diversity(WIDE) for the Canadian Society for Chemistry, now a committee of the board is continuously working towards developing a strategies to ensure that the activities of the CSC are equitable, inclusive and enhance the diversity of the chemical community. The committee has promoted and advocated for equity, diversity and inclusion (successful nominations of three persons for the Periodic Table of Younger Chemists) and worked to advance diversity and equity issues in the Canadian Society for Chemistry policies (Conference Code of Conduct), practices (CCCE Daycare, SIQ), and activities (CCCE Presidents Events and EDI sessions). Over the last year we have been working on the development of a strategic plan, aligning the priorities with actionable deliverables. During this talk the I will present the current draft of the strategic plan and welcome feedback and input from you – the chemistry community.
