About this Event
Host Organization: SPPA -EPAC
This 90-minute webinar will introduce members of organizations of all types and sizes to Whistleblowing Systems – a Guide. Published by the CSA Group in February 2016 and available free from CSA Group Communities, this Guide reflects research into best practices worldwide and applies it to Canadian contexts and conditions. Using real public and private sector cases of whistleblowing, the webinar will explore considerations for the design and implementation of systems to encourage a culture of ‘speaking up’ where reports of suspected wrongdoing are used to manage risk, reduce harm and increase value. The webinar is being hosted by the Ethics Practitioners’ Association of Canada (EPAC), and our presenters will be Prof. Robert Shepherd of Carleton University's School of Public Policy and Administration, and Sandy Boucher of Grant Thornton LLP, who were among the main contributors to the Guide. Please use this link – https://willow.reg-system.com/EPACOCTWEB – to register for the webinar. It is free to EPAC members, $40 to others ($15 to students).
EPAC membership is $75 for the calendar year, $25 for students.
