Welcome to My Online Classroom is a workshop series led by instructors, for instructors, with a specific focus on sharing a wide variety of ideas, strategies, and approaches to teaching online. The sessions will begin with a brief overview from the presenter, and then open for question-and-answer and discussion more broadly. The idea is to create spaces where instructors, regardless of experience, can exchange ideas for teaching online.
This particular session will be led by David Hornsby, the Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and a Professor with the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. In addition to being a leader in the effort to help Carleton instructors transition to online teaching for Fall 2020, David is also preparing to co-teach an online version of BGINS 3010: Global and International Theory. In addition, some of his most recent publications focus on issues of pointed relevance, including papers on “pandemic pedagogy” and large online classes.
