If you teach first year (and beyond), and are ever curious about what goes on in high school, this will be a useful workshop for you.

In this workshop two local high school teachers (one in the social sciences, one in the sciences) will give attendees a briefing on both what university professors can expect from students in terms of basic competencies, as well as recent pedagogical shifts in high school teaching. Hopefully this workshop will help university professors have a better context for understanding undergraduate test anxiety, writing and math literacy, and students’ expectations and hopes for their university experiences.

Don't forget to pack a lunch!
