The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, with the Delegation of the European Union to Canada in Ottawa and Global Affairs Canada, are very pleased to co-host a special event:

Transatlantic Cooperation in an Uncertain World: What’s Next for the Canada-EU Strategic Partnership?

A conversation between:

H.E. Ailish Campbell, Ambassador of Canada to the European Union
H.E. Melita Gabrič, Ambassador of the European Union to Canada

Moderator: Achim Hurrelmann, Carleton University

About the event:
In 2022, Canada and the European Union celebrate the fifth anniversary of the provisional application  of the Canada-EU Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The two agreements provide a strong foundation for Canada-EU  cooperation on a multitude of issues, ranging from global security to ensuring the stability of supply chains.

The last two years have been tumultuous, and have brought significant additional challenges that Canada and the EU must navigate, including addressing the war in Ukraine. Join us as Ambassadors Campbell and Gabrič reflect on ways to advance the Canada-EU strategic partnership going forward, in an increasingly uncertain international environment.

Registration:
Registration is required to attend this event. Please register at the website link provided by Tuesday, May 31, 2022, 5:00PM.

This event is an activity of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence which is co-funded with a grant by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union and by Carleton University.
