The Jean Monnet Network on Transatlantic Trade Politics and CN-Paul M. Tellier Chair on Business and Public Policy at the University of Ottawa are very pleased to co-host a webinar, "Free to Trade: Global Britain and the Sovereignty Trap", by Professor Gabriel Siles-Brügge (University of Warwick).

About the webinar:
The freedom to negotiate trade agreements was not a key demand of Brexit supporters before and during the 2016 EU referendum. Why, then, has an independent trade policy become so central to the UK Government’s Brexit project? And what are the consequences for the conduct of UK trade negotiations of not having established a clear trade strategy?

The presentation is based on a book project with Tony Heron (University of York).

Registration is required to attend the webinar, please complete the form below at the Network event page.

This event is an activity of the Jean Monnet Network on Transatlantic Trade Politics with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, by Carleton University, and Jean Monnet Network partner universities University of Antwerp (Belgium), Bates College (Maine, USA), Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (Austria) and University of Warwick (UK).
