About this Event

Host Organization: Carleton University

Naloxone is a potentially life-saving treatment that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. The Office of Student Affairs has collaborated with NaloxoneCare owner Mark Barnes to provide live virtual Naloxone training to Carleton students and staff. If you want to take part in this training, please register and you will receive an email with the information for the training session that you have chosen.

The virtual training session dates and times are as follows:
October 22nd 10am-11:30am
November 19th 1pm-2:30pm
January 28th 10am-11:30am
April 8th 1:30pm-3pm

If you can not attend any of these training sessions, you can visit the NaloxoneCare website (https://naloxonecare.com/) to take a self-guided free training session and even receive a free kit if requested and also are an Ontario resident. Through the Ontario Naloxone Program, you can also get a free Naloxone kit at participating pharmacies and health centres.
