I’m Steve Sumarah, head coach of the reborn Ravens Football team at Carleton. I’m travelling to Vancouver next month to do some recruiting for next season, and I thought I’d invite you and other local Carleton grads, and football commmunity to join me at a casual reception (no football pun intended) while I’m in town.

Whether you’re a football fan or not, I’d love to connect and tell you about what’s happening on campus. We had an excellent year—starting with our team and that incredible Panda victory, of course. In February our women’s curling team represented Canada and brought back a silver medal from the World Universiade in Spain. And then we capped the year with an 11th national title for the men’s basketball team—the team we all aspire to keep up with.

Excellence is the name of the game at Carleton. Whether it’s in sports or in academics we strive to lead the field and be the very best. Excellence defines how we prepare, how we compete, and how we improve. I really think it’s part of the Carleton spirit, and it makes me proud to represent your alma mater.
