The research seminar led by Professor Joan DeBardeleben is based on her research on EU-Russian relations, titled "Value Clash Redux: The Revival of Normative Politics in EU-Russian Relations." She will discuss what is the degree of tension between the EU and Russia and if it is rooted in a clash of basic political values, or does it have to do with differing economic and geopolitical interests?
