Firdaus Kharas will talk about his global health prevention campaigns on HIV/AIDS, malaria, domestic violence and children’s rights.
Kharas is a social entrepreneur producing animation, documentaries, films, and television series designed to change behaviour, primarily in relation to transmittable diseases affecting children and youth. He received an honorary doctorate from Carleton University in June, 2015 in recognition of his “innovative work as a social entrepreneur and for the advancement of public health and children’s rights in a global context”.
