Abstract
Design should always be done with the user’s experience in mind, and video games are no exception. We will discuss the principles of design as they relate to digital media. A focus on conceptual models will ensure you walk away with imagery and references for your future work. A significant question-and-answer session will be held as well.
Biography
Travis Martin is a multidisciplinary artist currently working as a game and level designer for Snowed In Studios here in Ottawa. His history in theatre, music, script writing, and poetry, which give him a unique perspective when designing for digital media. His interest in the sciences allows him to approach creation methodically, and to create fun and fascinating challenges for users.
