Join us for this expert-led roundtable to explore changes to the nature of accountants’ work, implications for mental health, and ways to address these challenges and foster resilience during a global pandemic.
COVID-19 has changed much about the nature of work in the accounting profession, as well as the place of work for most accountants. The global pandemic has changed the types of support and services needed by many clients, necessitated enhanced security and encryption capabilities, increased the risk of encountering fraud, required rapid interpretation of new government programs and tax measures, increased challenges in managing a digital workforce, among other significant challenges. And yet, at the same time, increased opportunities for creativity and innovation in both work processes and services provided to clients. These dramatic changes also have significant impacts on the mental health of accountants themselves, and on the mental health of those they serve.

Greg Boddy, CPA, CA; Manager, Assurance & Advisory Services, GGFL
Micheal Burch, FCPA, FCA, CFP, Managing Partner, Welch LLP
