On March 23rd at 11:00am EST, the Innovation Hub at Carleton University will host a virtual panel discussion titled ‘The First 5 Years’ in which 3 exceptional 2013 alumna will share their personal journeys and what they learned to set themselves up for success in these critical first years of their career. The Innovation Hub’s Entrepreneur in Residence, Robert Hocking, will host the live discussion and be joined by Sara Alhattab, a Communications Officer with UNICEF; Kate McFarland, a Legal Fellow with the Docket Project at the Clooney Legal Foundation; and Iman Azman, a freelance writer, and journalist working out of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Attendees will hear about each panelist’s first five years in the workforce after leaving Carleton University, the challenges and experiences that shaped who they are and where they are today and will discuss how they prepared themselves after graduation to create the best chance at becoming successful in their careers. Attendees who have questions will have the opportunity to directly ask the panelists.

For soon-to-be or recent graduates looking for inspiration and direction on how to build a successful foundation for your career directly after school, this is for you.
