About this Event

Host Organization: Carleton University Alumni Association

For alumni-turned-husband-and-wife Thomas Scrubb (BSc/14) and Catherine Traer (MA/18), 2020 has looked quite different than expected. Before the pandemic hit, the two were both busy attempting to qualify for the summer 2020 Olympic Games, and Thomas was looking forward to his inaugural season with the newly formed Ottawa BlackJacks.

Now, the pair are facing an evolving athletic landscape, wherein strict new regulations will undoubtedly impact their careers and experiences moving forward.

On October 3, join this dynamic duo for The Changing Landscape of Basketball Amidst COVID-19. During this exciting virtual event, Thomas and Catherine will reflect on their personal journeys with basketball, their time with Carleton Athletics, their qualifying efforts for the Olympics and how COVID-19 has affected their careers and the landscape of professional basketball.
