Host Organization: School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies
As part of the Symposium "Heritage in Reverse: Material Values, Waste and Deconstruction", participants are invited on a walking tour between two recent examples of new construction in significant Ottawa architectural designs that involved materials and components reclaimed from historic Ottawa buildings. Along the way other examples of materials reuse along Wellington will be explained and discussed.
Meet up at 9:00 am at the Ottawa Art Gallery. 50 Mackenzie King Bridge, Ottawa, ON K1N 0C5.
Please note the site visits involve approximately 45 minutes walking between locations, so wear good walking shoes and bring an umbrella if rain is called for.
