Dr. Balkan Devlen is Associate Professor and Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on foreign policy decision-making during crises and conflicts and the security challenges in NATO’s Eastern and Southern flanks, particularly the foreign and security policies of Russia and Turkey, from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean. His latest research project is titled "Microfoundations of International Order" and is funded by EU Horizon 2020 programme (Grant no:704626).
