Working with mathematical expressions has always been a challenge in a digital environment, especially when you take accessibility issues into account. On Thursday, May 21, join Teaching and Learning Services and Professor Kevin Cheung from Carleton’s School of Mathematics and Statistics as he discusses some options for designing content containing mathematical expressions in cuLearn: one using the built-in TeX mode and the other using MathJAX.

Professor Cheung will also make suggestions on how students could pose questions for math problems without being an expert in TeX.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops to gain some hands-on experience. Some knowledge of TeX/LaTex is expected.
