The Bell Chair in Canadian Parliamentary Democracy Presents:

Dr. Holly Ann Garnett
Assistant Professor of Political Science, Royal Military College of Canada

Dr. Garnett’s research examines how electoral integrity can be strengthened throughout the electoral cycle, including the role of election management bodies and technologies, civic literacy, and campaign finance. In this presentation, she draws on candidate expense reports published by Elections Canada to explore how local candidates allocate campaign funds at the riding level and whether this varies by location, region, and the rural-urban divide.
