Leonardo's Excursions into Mathematics by Angelo Mingarelli
Abstract: We'll explore Leonardo da Vinci's (1452-1519) various excursions into the realm of mathematics (arithmetic and geometry and their applications). We'll see how he spent close to 20 years trying to "square the circle" and solve such other unsolvable problems that, of course, he didn't know were unsolvable at the time.
