The current tensions over Ukraine have highlighted disagreements between Russia and the West about security policy in Europe; they have also tested the unity of the EU in developing a coordinated policy on EU-Russia relations. This round-table reviews how the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, NATO, and Europe-Russia relations are perceived in different EU member states, and how these perceptions have influenced attempts to respond to concerns about a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Moderator: Achim Hurrelmann, Carleton University
