Join faculty from the Department of Political Science as we offer reflections on the ways on which we are living through an ‘age of political disruption’. This is an opportunity to engage with recent events from around the world as well as in Canada, and to consider what these events mean in a wider political context. The roundtable will be led off by brief remarks from leading researchers in our Department, followed by an open and vigorous discussion. We look forward to seeing you on March 18th.

Participants:
Andrea Chandler – Putin the Coroner
Marc Hanvelt – History Matters, But Not How You Might Think
Melissa Haussman – Rage Against the Machine: Jan 6th on Capitol Hill
Jeremy Paltiel – China: how stability promotes instability
Jeff Sahadeo – 2022 So Far: anger, vulnerability, occupation
Brian Schmidt – Ukraine and the Perils of Ignoring Realism Again
Conrad Winn – Disrupted Futures: what can students expect?
