Join us for a hybrid session with Kanika Batra, who will present on Richard Rive, a prominent anti-apartheid writer. The talk will explore Rive’s autobiography, Writing Black (1981), originally presented as a keynote address in 1979. Batra will examine Rive’s work as an ex-centric piece within the South African autobiographical archive and investigate historical and ongoing educational disparities linked to movements like #RhodesMustFall (#RMF) and #FeesMustFall (#FMF).
