PEAC 300: Inclusive & Universal Design is the third of three core competency training modules in the Professional Education for Accessibility Competence (PEAC) program.

About
PEAC is an accessibility training program designed for decision-makers, leaders, directors, managers, individuals, and teams. This training program is intended to help you:
- Upskill your accessibility knowledge and confidence in the workplace.
- Build capacity to better understand accessibility and disability perspectives and practices.
- Develop practical skills and access tools to enhance inclusivity within your role, team, and organization.

PEAC 300 will demonstrate how inclusive and universal design is at the heart of creating work environments, products, and experiences that can be used and accessed by people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. This module delves into the principles and practices of inclusive and universal design, and will equip you with the foundational knowledge and skills to begin looking at spaces, products, and services through a critical lens to ensure they are inherently accessible and user-friendly for all.

Delivery
This module will be delivered in person, on campus at Carleton University.

Instructor
This module is taught by Dr. Patricia Bérubé, Policy Officer, Accessible Canada Directorate and will feature Guest Speaker Dr. Boris Vukovic, Director, Accessibility Institute at Carleton University, and Adjunct Research Professor with Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design.
