Join us for a showdown between two teams as they debate a subject in medical physics!

In lieu of the typical seminar, this special event is part of the continued OMPI 30th anniversary celebrations. “The Great (Medical Physics) Debate” – with topic chosen by the OMPI membership – will take place over approximately 60-65 minutes with two teams (of two debaters) putting their best words forward in favour or against the resolution to convince the audience that they deserve the win – using only their opening statement, rebuttal points, and closing statements to make their case, teams must ensure that their points are clear, concise, yet comprehensive.

The aim here is to have a structured yet fun flow of ideas and facts, not a TV style political debate to score points and airtime – although respectful challenges will be encouraged and permitted. Depending upon available time, there may be an opportunity to pose one or two questions to teams during or following the debate.

Please note: The seminar will begin promptly at 4 p.m.
