How do we conceptualize the state-society nexus in urban revolution? What are the key features of urban revolution under neoliberalism? How does urban revolution unfold in the global south?
The Institute of Political Economy's Visiting Professor Mustafa Bayirbag will share the findings of an ongoing research project addressing these Lefebvrian questions. The political-administrative dynamics of "roll-out urbanization" in Turkey will be the empirical focus of his presentation.
