In this lecture, Dr. Haran will discuss what the outcome of the US presidential election will mean for Ukraine. This lecture reviews the international reaction to Russia’s actions in Ukraine, which – while varying widely – resulted in economic sanctions being imposed on Russia since 2014. The lecture examines key aspects of the current international support for Ukraine, and discusses whether the election of an apparently “Putin-friendly” US president will change the level of international support.
