About this Event
Host Organization: Department of Recreation and Athletics
Carleton Athletics is proud to welcome the city councillor for Rideau Rockcliffe Rawlson King for an afternoon in the Ravens’ Nest. On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, Councillor King will share his journey and experiences as the first Black city councillor in the City of Ottawa.
A proud Carleton alumnus, councillor King was appointed Council Liaison for Anti-Racism and Ethnocultural Relations Initiatives and was responsible for the creation of the city's anti-racism office and strategy.
All members of the Carleton community are invited to this talk and Q&A as we celebrate Mr. King’s achievements as a prominent Black leader in the Ottawa community.
