Landon Pearson, Adjunct Professor and Chair of the Landon Pearson Centre for the Study of Childhood and Children's Rights, and Virginia Caputo, LPC Director and Associate Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, host the 8th annual Child Rights Academic Network (CRAN) Symposium on January 27-28, 2017. Sixty-five childhood studies and children's rights scholars from across Canada and internationally will meet at Carleton with the funding support of the Muttart Foundation to discuss this year's theme: children's rights and climate change. The agenda for the CRAN meeting is set by young people who attend the youth-led and youth-driven workshops hosted by the Landon Pearson Centre each year called Shaking the Movers. In 2016, Shaking the Movers young participants met in 4 regions of the country to share their thoughts and perspectives on children's rights and climate change.
