The Centre for European Studies (Jean Monnet Center of Excellence) is very pleased to present a Keynote lecture, Legitimacy Crisis, Democratic Representation and the Future of European Integration with Professor Christina J. Schneider.
About the lecture: The European Union has entered the 2020s under new leadership and with the ambition to rebuild the public support partially lost in the various crises of the past decade. In her keynote lecture, Professor Schneider will reflect on the EU’s democratic legitimacy in the post-Brexit era.
About the presenter: Christina J. Schneider is Professor in the Department of Political Science at University of California San Diego. Her primary research fields are international and comparative political economy, international institutions, and European politics.
