This event commemorates 40 years since Canada celebrated the International Year of the Child in 1979. The IYC Canadian Commission released a report titled "For Canada's Children/Pour Les Enfants du Canada." Special guests include the Hon. Monique Bégin as well as representatives from government, health, advocacy, non-governmental and education sectors. They will discuss developments and remaining challenges for children's rights in Canada over this 40 year period. A networking fair following the discussion welcomes National Capital region child and youth serving agencies. Reception to follow.
