Reflection is an essential component of the experiential learning process that helps learners understand and articulate their classroom experiences in relation to their future career aspirations.

In this workshop, we will introduce five models of reflective teaching and learning activities that will help learners make those connections and identify the employability skills they are developing in your course. This is an interactive session; we encourage you to come with your course outline so you can begin to identify where and how to easily integrate these activities into your course.

This is a joint session offered by Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) and Career Services as part of an ongoing initiative to support experiential learning at Carleton.

In this workshop, we will explore:

• The importance of reflection and experiential learning in the university classroom.
• Strategies to enhance students’ career readiness in your course.
• Specific easy-to-implement reflective activities to help students articulate their employability skills.
