Lecture Synopsis: The silicon photonics market is estimated to be worth USD$ 774.1 Million in 2018 and is expected to reach USD$ 1.99 Billion by 2023, according to the latest research reports by Markets and Markets. The continuing growth of this market is due to the rising demands for its applications in data center and high-performance computing; telecommunications; military, defense, and aerospace; medical and life sciences; and sensing. This talk will present the research work at Carleton University in silicon photonics.

About the Series: Ingenious Talks is a special speaker series from the Faculty of Engineering and Design that engages the community in discussions of timely and innovative ideas in engineering, design and technology.
