An event for FPA Faculty Members and Contract Instructors to learn about including Indigenous perspectives in teaching. We will focus on how Carleton’s new Collaborative Indigenous Learning Bundles can be used in curriculum and how to begin to build awareness of Indigenous knowledges as they relate to courses.

There will be two sessions to accommodate different schedules.

Lunch Session 11:30 AM to 1:00PM

Evening Session 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Sessions will include:

The Bundles Project: featuring Kahente Horn-Miller, Coordinator of the bundles project and Heather Dorries (evening only) FPA faculty member and Collaborator on one of the curriculum bundles.

Incorporating the bundles into your teaching: featuring Adje van de Sande, FPA faculty member who has incorporated one of the bundles into his teaching; Allie Davidson, EDC, teaching support resource; and Benny Michaud, Centre for Indigenous Initiatives, teaching support resource.

Questions and discussion: How do you see incorporating the bundles into your programs and courses? What are the next steps?
