About this Event
Host Organization: PATH: Equitable Adaptation Pathways for Climate Mobilities Project and Re.Climate Project
In collaboration with Environmental Leadership Canada (ELC), the PATH: Equitable Adaptation Pathways for Climate Mobilities and Re.Climate projects at Carleton University are pleased to invite young people aged between 18–30 to participate in the Future Leader in Politics (FLIP) Participatory Workshop on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
This full-day workshop is designed to empower and engage the next generation of political leaders in climate action and policymaking.
Whether you’re new to politics or already a passionate advocate, this is your chance to explore, share your experiences and build skills.
FLIP workshop sessions will include:
• Parliament 101: Canadian Governance
• Engaging with your representative on environmental and sustainability issues: Writing effective letters to government officials
• Demystifying the Politics of Boycotts
We’ll dive into the tools that fuel political participation and movements—think Parliament Hill, letter-writing campaigns, and alternative action strategies like boycotts. Step into the action with a mock election, interactive activities, and a few surprises we’re keeping under wraps! Come for the learning, stay for the energy—change starts here.
