Please join the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies on Friday, April 4, 2014, 2:30- 4:30 p.m. in A220 Loeb for the Founders seminar presented by Dr. Chris Burn on John Franklin FRS, science, and the toponymy of the western Arctic coast.
Chris Burn held the NSERC Northern Research Chair in permafrost (2002-2012). His primary research interest is the permafrost environment of northwest Canada, but in 2012 he edited Herschel Island Qikiqtaryuk: A natural and cultural history of Yukon’s Arctic island as a multidisciplinary contribution.
