Dr. Pruysers is a SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary and a Bell Chair visiting scholar at Carleton University. His current research interests include party organization, intra-party democracy, and political psychology. He has written on a variety of topics including multi-level party integration, party personnel selection, personality and politics, and political ambition. His work has been published in a variety of national and international journals such as Party Politics, Canadian Journal of Political Science, Representation, Regional and Federal Studies, and Politics & Gender as well as chapters in a number of edited volumes. He is the co-author of The Promise and Challenge of Party Primary Elections: A Comparative Perspective (McGill-Queens University Press).
