His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, throneholder of the Palyul lineage will bestow the empowerment of Lama Gongdu (blama dgongs-pa ‘dus-pa) - The Gathering of the Guru’s Intention - which HH Dudjom Rinpoche called “unique among all the subterranean treasures of Tibet”. This is an extremely rare initiation ritual intended for those who have had some training in Tantric practices and is restricted to those who have previously received a Nyingma empowerment. This cycle of teachings is foundational to the entire nine-yana system of the Nyingma School and relates specifically to the Anuyoga completion stage practices. In October 1999 when HH Penor Rinpoche bestowed this initiation, he called it “the mother of all the teachings”. The principle deity of the empowerment is one of the main protector deities of the Palyul lineage, a manifestation of wrathful compassionate action who protects the practitioner and defeats all obstacles to practice.
All profits from this event are dedicated to the support of the Tibetan refugee children cared for in Namdroling Monastery in South India.

Please note this event does not take place at the Ottawa City Hall but at the Ottawa Palyul Centre. Please arrive by 1 p.m.
