Akram Zaatari: All Is Well
Curated by Vicky Moufawad‐Paul
Organized and circulated by the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Queen’s University
19 January – 29 March 2015

The first Canadian solo exhibition of internationally renowned artist Akram Zaatari, this touring presentation of video installation and photography focuses on the act of letter writing. Zaatari, who represented Lebanon at the 2014 Venice Biennale, explores the precarious status of archives in times of war, as well as the discursive limits of archives as narrators of history.

Making and Marketing Art History in 18th-Century France
Curated by W. McAllister Johnson
19 January – 14 April 2015

Prints were popular commodities in 18th-century France. Professional and amateur engravers made reproduction prints of paintings and drawings by France’s renowned artists. Their collaboration dramatically expanded public knowledge of notable contemporary paintings. Ultimately, these universally accessible fine art prints shaped French culture and the discipline of art history.

Art on a Green Line
Curated by Johnny Alam
19 January – 14 April 2015

Inspired by curator Johnny Alam’s PhD research in the Institute for Studies in Literature, Art and Culture, this exhibition features artists of Lebanon’s “War Generation,” those born or raised during the 1975-1990 civil wars, known in Lebanon as the “Ahdeth” (events).

Discount parking passes ($4.00 flat rate) will be available for sale at the tunnel entrance commencing at 4:45 pm. See the “visiting” page of CUAG’s website for details on parking and for a bike route.
