This is a highly interactive, skills-based online course using simulations and exercises to develop practical skills in the following: negotiation strategies and tactics; organising for trade negotiations; stakeholder engagement; preparing for the first set of negotiations; and drafting a trade agreement chapter.

The course is based on the experiences of former trade negotiators and diplomats from Canada, the United States, Europe, the UK, Russia, China and several Latin American, Caribbean and African countries.

This course is designed for junior and mid-level trade officials who are either involved in trade negotiations or are preparing to be involved in trade negotiations. The course is limited to 12 participants to provide direct advice, “live” coaching, and immediate feedback to each participant.
