News of significant events happening around the world can be distressing for Carleton’s global community.
The International Student Services Office is collaborating with Health and Counselling Services on ‘Coping with World Events’ – a three-part workshop series for Carleton students impacted by events around the world.
Join Berak Hussain, Registered Psychotherapist and International Student Counsellor, for three online workshops. Each week, Berak will guide the group in understanding emotional responses to world events, and exploring strategies to navigate life when challenging circumstances arise.
Sessions take place:
June 2 from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
June 9 from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
June 16 from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Through participating in these workshops participants can expect to learn more about their own stress responses to world events, strategies to cope with negative thoughts and feelings, and ways to access support during difficult times. Please register below.
