Electoral reform has been debated for years and has now emerged as a key political issue as three out of the four parties represented at the first leaders’ debate have commitments to electoral reform in their current platform. Is it time to change our electoral system? What are the stakes and implications?

Panelists

Stephen White is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Carleton University. His research focuses on Canadian and comparative public opinion and political behaviour, and immigrant political incorporation. He is a co-editor of Comparing Canada: Methods and Perspectives on Canadian Politics, and has contributed articles and chapters on North American political cultures, attitudes towards immigration, and immigrant political participation.

Once Assistant Professor of Political Economy in NPSIA Currently member of Fair Vote Canada's National Council and chapter Vice-President in the NCR Regional captain in Fair Vote Canada's current campaign for the NCR and all of Quebec outside of Montreal.
