Dr. Michael Windover
Listening for Design: Agency and History in a Philips Aachen-Super D52
What can the life of a particular set tell us about agency in design? This talk will follow a Philips radio console from Germany to Canada, and through a range of spaces or design ecologies, in order to consider how it might assist in narrating design histories.
Dr.Windover is an Associate Professor in the History and Theory of Architecture Program within Carleton's School for Studies in Art and Culture. He is also the adjunct curator of design at Ingenium and is cross- appointed to the Institute for Comparative Study of Literature,Art and Culture.
