About this Event

Host Organization: Department of Advancement

Carleton University is celebrating its 75th anniversary and we want to celebrate with you!

Join us for a day of entertainment, great food and Carleton pride in Parking Lot 5. Take a ride on the 50 foot ferris wheel, complete the inflatable obstacle course or delight in some traditional carnival fare. Enjoy a local beer in the beer garden while watching performances by the Chemistry Magic Show, student groups and our very own Carleton Cheerleading team.

The birthday bash coincides with the homecoming football game, where the Ravens will take on Waterloo at MNP Park.
Please click here for more information on purchasing tickets to the football game: https://events.carleton.ca/throwback-finale-homecoming-football-game/

Schedule of the day:
10 a.m.-11:00 a.m.: Chemistry Magic Hands-on Interactive Demo. Get a chance to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen, encounter interesting smells and see some of the demonstrations up close. Be inspired and entertained, all while learning!
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Chemistry Magic Show. This one hour show features fun targeted at the whole family with explosions, spontaneous combustions and a look at the inner workings of fireworks and plastics.
12:00 p.m.: Official cake cutting. A birthday celebration isn't complete without cake!
12:30 p.m.: Performance by the Carleton Cheerleading team.
1:00 p.m. : The Carleton Ravens football team take on Waterloo in MNP Park (directly beside the birthday bash)

Admission is free. Donations to support Carleton students are welcome. All proceeds raised will go towards https://futurefunder.carleton.ca/project/fund-for-good/
