Join us at the MacOdrum Library for the 2016 Throwback edition of Carleton Reads.
The theme for this year is Deception, Illusion and Corruption in literature.
This annual event is a celebration of books, with a panel comprised of members of the Carleton community who will defend their favourite novels and audience members will vote on the winner.
The discussion moderator will be Laurence Wall, CBC Radio Ottawa.
Panelists include:
- Dr. Joy Mighty, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), who will defend The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.
- Prof. Grant Williams, Department of English, who will defend Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
- Louise Hayes, President Carleton University Alumni Association, who will defend The Nazi Officer’s Wife by Edith Hahn Beer.
The event will also feature a special performance by Rick Cole, Illusionist, who will dazzle us with a 20-30 minute set to open the event. More info http://mentalartiste.com/rick-cole.
