It's not what you know, it's who you know!" goes the old saying... Most of us have an idea that networking is key to job searching and career success, but don't really know what this means or how to go about it. Learn how to network and build relationships in a way that works for you.

After attending this workshop you will:

- Discover what networking is and why it is useful
- Identify how to find and expand networking opportunities
- Find out about different networking tools and strategies
- Understand how to build rapport with strangers and communicate effectively
- Discover what to do after networking has taken place

In order to make the most of the session, participants are encouraged to watch the online workshops entitled "Targeted Job Search" and "Career Fair Prep" found on MyCareer under Career Services > Resources.

Students can register to attend this workshop by logging in to myCareer via the Carleton Central Portal.
