About this Event

Host Organization: Faculty of Public Affairs

Bagels and Banter is a monthly opportunity to discuss shared research and teaching and learning topics with faculty members in a relaxed setting. Learn about new topics, teaching methods and potential research collaborations.

Join Diana Majury, Doris Buss, Dawn Moore and Dales Spencer from the Department of Law and Legal Studies for a discussion about their research.

The presenters will talk about two research projects on police/institutional responses to sexual violence (on campus and offline/online) conducted for the Ontario Government. They will reflect on the contributions of this type of research to ongoing academic discussions of sexual violence but also broader public engagement with sexual violence. We will discuss the dilemmas and challenges of this kind of research with a view to creating a supportive network of researcher.

Bagels and Banter is open to all faculty members. Faculty members are encouraged to bring their senior graduate students along.
