About this Event

Host Organization: Ottawa Public Library

Tired of mowing that lawn? Learn how you can provide habitat for pollinators, caterpillars and other creatures by letting a little bit of your backyard go natural. Presented by Naomi Cappuccino of Carleton University.

Naomi Cappuccino is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Carleton University. Her formal research involves the biological control of pest species (both insect pests and invasive weeds) using their natural enemies. The research is mainly an excuse to spend summers outside hunting for unusual plants and bugs, something that can be done right in one's own backyard.
