About this Event

Host Organization: Carleton Climate Commons

Dramatic anthropogenic transformation of the natural world is nothing new, and nor is climate violence, with its uneven distribution along lines of race, class, and gender. Yet have the effects ever been more inescapable? Has the regime of extraction and exploitation that subtends it all ever been less tenable?

What, then, are we to do as academics – ourselves perhaps increasingly precarious, marginal, or insupportably luxurious? What are you doing, in your academic work, teaching, and professional life? What should happen next? Join us for a roundtable discussion and open forum.
