As 2016 marks the 49th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and the launching of the ASEAN Economic Community, the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO)* cordially invites you to a panel discussion and cultural exhibition on ASEAN.

Topics of discussion include ASEAN Community, ASEAN-Canada relations (especially in the areas of trade, science, technology, and innovation), and ASEAN-China relations.

Among the panelists are 1) the Malaysian High Commissioner, 2) Dr. David Lametti, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, and 3) Professor Jeremy Paltiel, Department of Political Science, Carleton University.

The panel will be chaired by Professor Elliot Tepper, Distinguished Senior Fellow, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University.
